Get ready to Base Push All Out™! Orangetheory Fitness is a 5-zone heart rate interval training studio where our clients burn an estimated 500 to 1000 calories per gym workout. During each 60-minute group session, you'll complete intervals of treadmill training, indoor rowing, and weight room/resistance training blocks. Behind Orangetheory Fitness’s success is the physiological theory known as excess post-exercise oxygen consumption, or EPOC. During your session, you will be provided with a heart rate monitor and POD to monitor the five zone interval sessions we call the Orange 60. In the course of your one hour session, you will perform multiple intervals that have been designed to produce 12-20 minutes of training at 84% or more of your individual max heart rate which translates to zones 4/5. You will utilize your entire body, boosting your metabolism and feeling increased energy with each interval.
This EPOC-based program design produces what would be described as an "after-burn" effect: For up to 36 hours after your session your metabolism will stay boosted—giving you added calorie burn and extra energy.
